Beyond Bali book launched
In connection to the high level seminar Positive Incentives for Climate Action in Madrid , the book Beyond Bali : Strategic Issues for the post-2012 Climate Change Regime was launched. A hand full of Clipore scientists have contributed to the book that examines some of the most difficult and controversial questions that global climate change negotiators face between now and the emergence of a "Copenhagen Protocol" in 2009, and even beyond.
The various chapters in the book are organised around the four principal elements in the Bali Action Plan — mitigation, adaptation, technology and financing — presented from different country, stakeholder and political perspectives.

The book is divided into two parts: Part 1 focuses on high-level political priorities and part 2 presents numerous research contributions on diverse topics such as the future adaptation framework, a pragmatic solution to the deforestation challenge, the overarching importance of technology and solutions to international transport such as aviation or shipping.

The contributions from Clipore have been written by Markus Åhman, Carolyn Fischer, Sivan Kartha, Lars Zetterberg, and Bo Kjellén. Beyond Bali has been edited by Christian Egenhofer from Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), Clipore´s partner in the European Climate Platform.
