Call is open to win the European Green Capital Award!
As from May 22 2008 a call is open to the European Green Capital Award. The Award has been conceived by the European Commission as an initiative to reward cities that have a consistent record of achieving high environmental standards, and who commit to ongoing and ambitious goals for further environmental improvement and sustainable development. All European cities with over 200.000 inhabitants in the administrative unit can apply to win the award. In Sweden this would include Stockholm, Göteborg, Malmö.
The candidate cities will be assessed using a set of performance indicators and policy evaluation questions. The criteria are divided into eight areas, one of which is Urban Mobility.
Henrik Gudmundsson of IMPACT is appointed as a member of the Evaluation Panel for the European Green Capital Award, with a special responsibility for evaluation of Mobility.
