Claus Hedegaard Sørensen, Jamil Khan, Tomas Bergström and Henrik Gudmundsson (all from IMPACT) have published an article in the recent number of the Swedish magazine PLAN (No 5, 2008).
The headline of the article is "New Public Management and sustainable transport in public bus transport". The article compares the organisation of public bus transport in Stockholm and Manchester as regards the ability to contribute to sustainable transport. The article concludes that the organisation of public bus transport in Stockholm is better suited for sustainable transport than the organisation in Manchester. But Stockholm might learn from the partnerships in Manchester.
